KOBI FIGHTS TO PORSCHE PODIUM IN QUEENSLAND - LEADS ENDURANCE CHAMPIONSHIP

Tyler Greenbury Racing driver Kobi Williams has taken a hard fought and couragous second place, missing another victory by the narrowest of margins, during Round 3 of the 2026 Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge at Queensland Raceway.

The storming drive now means Williams leaves Round 3 as the championship leader in the 2026 Jim Richards Enduro Cup championship.

Following an enthralling battle with Lincoln Taylor, Williams took the lead in the Endurance race with approx. 10 minutes to go, but eventually succumbed and fought hard to finish up second.

On Friday, dramas meant Williams had only just made the start of the race after technical issues in qualifying saw him last of the Pro cars and outside the top 10.

14th at the end of lap one, the two-time 2026 race winner methodically worked his way through the field and had climbed to eighth prior to a late-race and brief Safety car to extract Diesel Thomas from the sand trap at turn two.

Williams then passed two more cars to end up sixth in a strong salvage effort.

This placed him sixth for Race 2 and he subsequently went on to finish 4th.

From 4th, the current Australian Formula Ford outright national champion moved up again, claiming a momentous second place.

The Victorian driver now leads the 2026 Jim Richards Enduro Cup championship over Xavier Avramides and Hayden Haikal with 3 rounds to go.
